Dear Amazing Grace Crop Maze Guests,
Thank you for visiting the farm! Thank for supporting a small business. Thank you for supporting us as young farmers. Thank you for loving us! You will never know how much we talk about “you”, how much we think about “you”, how much we plan for “you”. Even before one season ends, we are already dreaming up ideas for next year or thinking about how we can make things better for you and your family when you visit the farm. Thank you for bringing canned goods to donate to the Green Cove Springs Food Pantry. Thank you for posting pictures an telling your friends to visit the crop maze. Thank you for giving us honest feedback. Thank you for emailing us to brag on our amazing team members. Thank you for bringing your class, your school, your troop, your company, your friends…to enjoy Fall Family Fun on the Farm. Thank you for driving just down the street or from across Jacksonville. Thank you for sharing our social media posts and participating in our contests. Thank you for encouraging us, for writing us letters, emailing us, posting on Facebook, and especially stopping us at the maze or in town to tell us how much you love the crop maze.
Amazing Grace Crop Maze isn’t just a business to us….it’s more than that. Amazing Grace Crop Maze is a labor of love where teenagers have their first jobs, where children who are blind “see” farm animals, where children who are sick forget about their sickness for a few minutes, where parents’ hearts fill with pure joy over seeing their children laugh and play like they did when they were kids, a place where grandparents bring their grandchildren to enjoy a simpler time, a place that stays with you even after you leave….because you find corn in your house. Thank you for making us your Fall Family tradition.
It’s strange to be at home on a Friday night. It is bittersweet when the season is over. We are tired but we will miss you. We will miss watching your children run. We will miss hearing your children’s laughter. We will miss seeing how excited you get to see the piglets. We will miss seeing you wave to your children as they ride on the cow train. We will miss watching you fight the urge to climb in the corn crib yourself. We will miss watching you race ducks, race rat rollers, and play on the barnyard ball zone. And we will miss watching your face when you try boiled peanuts for the first time.
Please know when we reflect on what we are thankful for this Thanksgiving season, we are thankful for you. We are thankful you left safe and happy. We are thankful for the memories you made with your family and that you let us be a part of them.
